And Yet I Know Nothing About You

ایوی : نمیفهمم.

وی: چه چیز رو؟

ایوی : چطور تو میتونی یکی از مهمترین چیزهایی باشی که تا به حال برام اتفاق افتاده و با این حال من هیچی درموردت نمیدونم. نمیدونم کجا متولد شدی، پدر و مادرت چه کسی بودند یا آیا خواهر و برادری داشتی. من حتی نمیدونم چه شکلی هستی.

وی: ایوی، خواهش میکنم... زیر این نقاب چهره ای قرار گرفته که چهره من نیست، اون فقط مقداری ماهیچه و استخوانه نه چهره من.

ایوی: میفهمم

وی: ممنونم

Evey: I don't understand.

V: What?

Evey: How you can be one of the most important things that has ever happened to me and yet I know almost nothing about you. I don't know where you were born, who your parents were, if you had any brothers or sisters. I don't even know what you really look like.

V: Evey, please. There's a face beneath this mask but it's not me. I am no more that face than I am the muscles beneath it or the bones beneath them.

Evey: I understand

V: Thank you.

وی: مردم نباید از دولتشون بترسند، بلکه اون دولت ها هستن که باید از مردمشون بترسند.

ایوی: و تو میخوای این اتفاق با منفجر کردن به ساختمون بیفته؟

وی: ساختمان یک نماده، همینطور نابود کردنش. مردم به نمادها قدرت میدن. نمادها به تنهایی بی معنی هستند ولی با تعداد کافی از مردم، منفجر کردن یک ساختمان میتونه دنیا رو تغییر بده.

ایوی: کاش باور داشتم این کار ممکنه. اما هر وقت که دیدم این دنیا تغییر کرده، فقط بدتر شده.

V: People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Evey: And you're going to make that happen by blowing up a building?

V: The Building is a symbol, as is the act of destroying it. Symbols are given power by people. Alone, a symbol is meaningless, but with enough people blowing up a building can change the world.

Evey: I wish I believed that was possible. but every time I've seen this word change, it's always been for the worse.
